Quantum DX3000 and DX5000 disk-based backup solutions bring the innovative features of Quantum's Echelon DX-Series Virtual Tape Library systems to small and mid-sized organizations as well as departments within larger organizations. These easy-to-deploy rackmount appliances are optimized for backup, recovery and performance and offer useable capacities from 1.2TB to 14.4TB. You can count on file restore times 5-10x faster than tape libraries, with complete confidence in backup success. These appliances are the ideal choice when rapid and reliable recovery is required in the event of data loss or disaster.

Includes one 2U chassis module with redundant power supplies/fans, dual gigabit Ethernet ports, four 400GB SATA hard drives, two NEMA 5-15P to C13 power cords (power cords with different plugs must be sourced locally by the customer, if required) and library emulation software. Provides approximately 1.6TB raw (1.2TB usable) capacity with RAID 5. Requires 2U rack space. Customer installable.

Simple Implementation
DX3000 and DX5000 systems are compatible with almost any existing backup environment and can be installed and configured easily without the need for a storage expert. Choose from iSCSI or Fibre Channel SAN configurations to suit your needs.
Compression without compromise
With Optyon™ Data Compression, you can benefit from 2:1 compression while still enjoying the speed of disk-based backup. Unlike software compression solutions which may slow data throughput up to 50 percent, Optyon hardware compression ensures full performance at all times.
Complete flexibility
Quantum's Echelon DX-Series gives you a number of configuration choices, including connectivity and target type, capacity and price point – even chassis size.
Four-Drive Upgrade Kit- DX3000: upgrade from a 4-drive to an 8-drive unit.
Comprehensive service and support
The DX3000 includes a Guardian One-year On-site standard warranty. Several affordable service upgrades are available.
The DX3000 is supported by StorageCare™ Guardian. With StorageCare™ Guardian installed, the warranty covers 5x9 next day response for the chassis, RAID controllers and Optyon adapters; and Rapid Exchange for the power supplies, fans and disk drives. Warranty support will be commercially reasonable effort if StorageCare™ Guardian is not installed. An uplifted warranty replaces the standard warranty with a service contract. |
